Teachers! You use Google Slides™ to have students do some cool things. One of the problems when we get creative with Slides™ to create an escape room, choice board, or tutorial is that when students click on the slide it automatically navigates to the next slide. If you want your Slides™ user to link to a website or navigate to a particular slide or just not advance to the next slide one trick is to create a transparent rectangle over the slide. You can use Control K to hyperlink to another website, or to the home slide, or just hyperlink it to the same slide so the Slides™ user does not automatically advance to the next slide. Clear Rectangle by AliceKeeler does this for you! Created by teacher Alice Keeler, it collects NO USER DATA. COPPA and FERPA compliant. Use the Extensions menu to generate a transparent rectangle for the current slide or add one to ALL the slides.
